Honey, It’s 3:00 AM! Why Are You Up..And Why Is The Light On?

How does an author capture the reader in the first few pages of a book, and cause him/her to not put the book down until all energy is exhausted?

There is a proven formula for the question…and there is one Brand that accomplishes this task better than almost any other media…can you guess?

Some of you may have got it…it is the James Bond movie series.

In the first few moments or two of any James Bond movie, action is almost always the first thing you see. Don’t disappoint the audience…they knew what they came to see.

Next, we typically are introduced to the bad guy, the world problem, something has gone missing, another agent was killed and failed to catch the syndicate leader…the audience is introduced to the plot.

Typically, Bond fails to uncover the underlying plot of the bad guys, and ends up in the arms of another hottie…and then he is called into headquarters for a briefing.

Why change something that works so well. I applied this formula to my latest book, DOMINATION DRONE, The Era of the Drone Wars, and the comment in bold letters at the top of the page, was a quote from a friend who read my book.
