I THOUGHT I UNDERSTOOD STORY UNTIL I MET ROBERT MCKEE

ROBERT MCKEE

Having spent some time in the West Los Angeles area, and engaged in the writing community for television and movies, it was a wake-up call to find out how much I really did not know about crafting a good story.

Robert McKee, from his experience on Broadway, film, writing in multiple medias and his overall success has taken the art of STORY and broken it down to several levels unheard of by most literary masters.

From Robert’s book, “STORY,” lectures, and audio recordings, it was clear to me…there was no way I could craft a great story without his teachings. From entry-level want-to-be writers, to industry executives, and up to major directors, Robert has so much to share on how the art of story is to be crafted.

Just because you have a good idea does not mean you have a good story. Story is not just essential, it is not just mandatory, it is everything when crafting any medium of entertainment.

An audiobook is an opportunity to take a literary story, decorate it with friendly sounds of nature, nasty sounds of a busy city, and original music that moves the audience into comfortable or uncomfortable places, which is what a film or audiobook should do.

You want to talk about STORY…contact AR Sound Technology…we are published authors and storytellers, and your audiobook will not be produced without the very discussion of story itself.

WE PRODUCE AUDIO BOOKS THAT SOUND LIKE MOVIE SOUNDTRACKS
